For over thirty years, Mohammad Kanou was Syria’s premiere calligrapher. signature which appeared on most Syrian official calligraphy works. He won international calligraphy awards and his art appeared in numerous international exhibitions from Iran to China. Mohammad passed away recently in July 2005.   We present here a sample of his designs as well as some of the designs of some of his exceptional students.
